Pure nickel cast iron welding rod
SH·Z408
Description :
SH·Z408 is a cast iron electrode with nickel-iron alloy welding core and strong reducing graphite coating. It can be used for both AC and DC. The arc is stable during welding, the operation is convenient, and the welding can not be preheated. The weld metal is characterized by high strength, good plasticity, low coefficient of linear expansion, crack resistance to gray cast iron and SH·Z308 is similar, but the ductile cast iron is stronger than SH·Z308, and the cast iron with higher phosphorus content (0.2%P) also has a good effect. The machining performance is slightly worse than SH·Z308 and SH·Z508.
Use:
It can be used for welding of gray cast iron and ductile cast iron at normal temperature or slightly preheated (to about 200ºC), such as cylinder, engine base, gear, etc.
Note:
1. The surface of the weldment should be kept clean and any defects must be carefully shoveled away. If there is oil or water infiltration inside the old casting, the gas torch or blowtorch should be used to burn it until the smoke is finished, and then the surface of the remaining black skin, rust and other impurities are removed.
2. The welding place must first open a 70-90 ° groove, and the bottom is a circular arc with a radius of not less than 5mm. Both ends of the weld should be drilled out 5mm small holes to prevent crack expansion. 3. The smaller the welding current, the better, only requires that the welding can be smoothly welded, and the weld can be firmly fused with the base metal.
4. The strip should be narrow, do not swing, and the length of each weld should not exceed 50mm. Immediately after welding, gently hammer the welding place with a small hammer to eliminate the stress in the welding repair zone and prevent cracks. Wait for the workpiece to cool until it is not hot before continuing to weld. If the thickness is too large or the shape is complex, it is appropriate to preheat to about 200ºC.
5. If large gaps are filled, a layer of surfacing should be welded from the four sides first, and then gradually filled to the middle
6. Before welding, the electrode should be baked at about 150ºC for one hour.
